Hello, my name is Eric Janofski, and I am a Web Designer / Developer.
This website is a representation of my work and a playground for me to try new design skills and coding practices as I learn them. Mainly I've been focusing on polishing my knowledge of CSS, XHTML, Javascript, PHP, and MySQL.

Professional Pursuits
Currently I work for Hannahville Public School. I began work as a Technical Aide for the Culture / Lanugauge Department early this year and have had the opportunity to work on various web and multimedia projects. Thankfully I get to work with websites as much as I am required to do other tasks. So far my biggest task was to put together an online language class based off of the Moodle Online Course System. I also record audio for the language lab, create storyboards and videotape any video projects we are working on, and develop the php, html, and css for the language website (among other tasks).
I have also had the opportunity to use my language skills and my love of grammar to create course based curriculum for the High School Potawatomi Language class as well as the Online Potawatomi 1 Language Class. This was quite a challenge, but neccessary in the development of these courses.
This job has been very interesting and soon we may even begin to develop language games using Macromedia Director. Can't wait.
More About Me
I have been designing for three years professionally and programming for a little bit less. I really enjoy the entire process of making interactive web content, but I most enjoy the stages after the design is complete. This is when the magic happens for me. I like to make things work, so, by utilizing css, xhtml, javascript and php I usually can bring about a desired look or effect.
My Interests
Working on my computer is one of my major interests. I love designing and creating work for the web. Also, I enjoy playing games involving a fantasy or science fiction theme (typical, i know). I've taken this interest a step further and for two years now I have been developing a board game that involves maps, cards and booklets all intended to involve the player in a unique gaming experience everytime they play. Hopefully I will have a finished product soon, but i'm not counting on it.
When I am away from the computer I enjoy working in the yard and garden, refinishing furniture, fixing up rooms in our house, playing games, and going out with friends.
